FAQ About Your Mini Session

What is a mini session?

Hi! That's a very good question! So Mini sessions are seasonal sessions I do a few times a year. They are shorter and are usually staged as a theme in a predetermined location. They are quick and super fun to do! 

What if it rains on the day of my session?

Mother Nature has a mind of her own and so if the weather doesn't permit a session, your session will be rescheduled. If the next scheduled date does not work for you, you will be refunded your deposit.


What if I am late for my session?

That would be a bummer! Photo sessions are a timed service so please understand that if you are late to your session, you will lose time and possibly the number of pictures. Delays are not the photographer's responsibility. That being said, if time permits I will definitely try to work with you and give you a few extra minutes at no extra charge because I am so nice!

What if my child does not smile?

I try my best to make my little clients comfortable and try to make the shoot fun for them. But sometimes little one are just not in the mood and we all know they can not fake a smile like adults. Unfortunately, there are no refunds for that and the full amount is to be paid because time and effort have been put in. So what do we do? We go with the flow. After all, we are creating memories and maybe next time little one will say "cheese". 

When is the payment expected?

There is a non refundable deposit that needs to be paid within 12 hours of booking your time slot. Please do understand that failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of your session. The remaining balance is to be paid on the day of the shoot. Please note that the editing process of your gallery will not start unless the full payment is made. No galleries will be sent without the payment in full. All galleries will be archived or deleted if the payment is not made in full within a week's time of the session and will cost $30 to recover them. These will be unrecoverable in case of permanent deletion. SOOOO Moral of the story, don't forget to pay the retainer!  


 What mode of payment do you take?

I accept Cash, Zelle, Venmo, Paypal or Checks. Checks can be addressed to Ambareen Hasan. Please note that if there are any issues with a check there would be  a $20 fee payable by you.

When will my images be ready?


Your password protected online gallery will be ready within 10 days after your session date. Busy season like October-December COULD take longer but I try to deliver as soon I can.

The galleries are edited in chronological order.

PLEASE NOTE that some mini session galleries COULD take up to 2 weeks to be edited and ready for viewing/downloading.

A disc of your images can be sent to you instead, on an additional charge.


Can I get my images printed anywhere?


Short answer? Yes. That being said, if you get the prints from me, I do all the work for you to make sure you get a good quality product :) 

Can I save and share the proofs I am sent?

Saving or sharing anything that is not a part of your package or hasn't been paid for is a violation of copyright thus making sharing or saving proofs illegal so that would be a no please. Once you choose your favorites, the remaining images are deleted permanently after one week, so please choose wisely. Once they get deleted, they are gone for good. 

Does the gallery expire?

Yes, the gallery has an expiration date which will be sent to you in the email with all the information about your gallery. If you fail to download the gallery before it expires, there is a $10 reload fee for it to be reloaded.  After 30 days, the reload fee will be $30. After 6 months, the gallery  will be archived and MAY BE  permanently deleted. Be sure to download it in time!

Will my pictures be fully edited? 

Short answer is yes, your images will be fully edited/color corrected. That being said please understand that corrective photoshop or manipulation is not done for staged minis sessions. Those services are only offered for freestyle sessions. Unless of course, there are people or objects in the frame that need to be removed.

Am I allowed to edit the images after I receive them?

I take a lot of care and time to edit your images and try to deliver the best I can. If there is anything you would like changed in a certain image, please do let me know and I will try to 'fix' it to the best of my abilities. Please do not edit the pictures or slap filters on it, this can reduce the quality of your images and we want the best images right?

Will my images be shared online and for advertising purposes?

As the photographer, I retain copyright to all images and am able to use those images to promote my business , showcase my work or add to my portfolio. If you do NOT wish to have your photos used, please notify me via email or text immediately and the request will be honored as a courtesy.
